Our Policies & Procedures

Our policies and procedures ensure we follow the EYFS ( early years foundation stage) and that all practitioners are working by the same set of rules and guidelines. These are embedded from the very start of their journey with us as they are set out at the practitioners induction.

We have stringent Safeguarding policy and procedures which we follow. All staff have a DBS ( Disclosure and Barring Service) which we apply for every 3 years. All staff fill out forms 6 monthly at their supervision meetings to  declare that they have not committed a crime etc. All staff undergo safeguarding training regularly and the 2 safeguarding leads keep up to date with reviews and changes to any requirements. All staff know the correct levels of needs and the correct channels to go through if they have concerns. They are all level 2 trained and can recognise the signs of abuse.

We follow safer recruitment procedures when taking on a new employee, apprentice or volenteer. however, we are very fortunate that our staffing does not change frequently and once here prove to be commited to us. Staff have a 6-month probationary period and are only counted in ratios when they have passed their references and DBS checks. We hold 6 monthly supervisions with all our staff but they know we have an open door policy and they can speak to us at any time about any concerns or worries they may have.
